Updated on 4-30-08 (on this glorious morning ) to add:
Matt Lauer in Laos.....thankyouverymuch
More pictures here for those of you not patronizing me. ;)
I am a big Today show fanatic. It has been a part of my evolving morning routine since birth, (even before coffee was...obviously). I remember, as a little girl, Bryant Gum-ball and Jane Pauley, then the controversial change-up after she left, then sweet little Katie, then bye-bye Bryant, blah, blah, blah.
I have to say that I adore Matt, Meredith, Al and Ann more than all of their predecessors, and can think of no better way to start my morning than sipping my hot, yummy coffee while they brief me on the world's happenings.
One of the highlights of my year is when the rockin' Matt does his little stint called "Where in the World is Matt Lauer". For those of you who sadly don't get to see this, our Matt-y flies alllllllll over the globe to an undisclosed location each day for a week, and we have to guess where he is going the day before he gets there. Once he is there, we get a GREAT geography/cultural lesson throughout the whole show...so heads up, homeschool Mommas.
Today he was in Amsterdam where we learned all about windmills, tulips and the engineering genius of how they deal with being below sea level. VERY interesting.
Anyway...the reason for all my rambling is that I THINK I KNOW WHERE HE'LL BE TOMORROW!!! I can never figure out his stinkin' clues, but, by George, I think I have this one. Yes I do. And so I am posting it NOW because if I am right, then all of you, my bloggy friends, can say "Gayle was right". And those are words that make my heart sing with joy, ya know.
SO here is the clue:
This country is an anagram of a synonym of a homophone of an even prime number.
And here is my answer: Laos
Mark my words ~Matt Lauer will be in Laos tomorrow.~ I JUST KNOW IT!
Tell me if you figure out something different (even though I will probably respectfully disagree with you ~wink~).
*****************************
By the way, I am saving recital pictures for tomorrow because my girl's getting a MAJOR haircut and I want to post those pics, too.

Can you explain how you got Laos. I am not disagreeing, I just don't even have the energy to figure it out, you smart girl you!
Yeah, Jane...that energy is directly related to coffee and is gone right about now. :)
Anyway....I started at the last part since each part had to relate to....nevermind. I just started with the prime # and worked my way back.
*2 was the even prime # I chose
*a homophone of 2 is too
*a synonym of too is also
*and an anagram of also is...dum-da-da-dum...LAOS!
There ya have it. :)
Okay Gayle this hurts my head, I can't think this early in the morning...wait..this late in the morning!
I don't watch, but I will expect to hear an update--were you right?
If it wasn't for me you would still be stumped on the prime number.
TY
You are weird.
You are BRILLIANT!
I still hear in my head, "...The TODAY show with Bryant Gumball and Jane Pauley." :) I was glad to see Bryant go. I love Meredith and Matt together. I used to watch all the time but haven't much the last couple years.
Sounds right to me! I couldn't have come up with this on my own, however, it's making me think too hard. :P

p.s. No baby yet but I'm having a contest to pass the time...come see?
That sounds right to me. 2 is the only even prime number so how could it be wrong?
We are safe and sound. The tornadoes were south and east of us. Thanks for asking!
I used to watch the Today show too....but I will tell you a secret: my favorite morning show of all times was Regis and Kathie Lee. I loved it and watched it religiously every morning.
We haven't had TV for 8 years so I don't watch anymore. But once in a while I'll go online and watch the Today show.
I'm glad you like Matt. I don't. Sorry! I do like Ann and Al...
And now Kathie Lee is in the mix!
I couldn't have guessed where Matt was going to be, it's just too much thinking for me!!
I'll be glad to see those recital pictures!
Leanne in Longview
Haven't ever watched daytime tv much, so I'm clueless. I am excited to see photos though!
Laos...isn't that the plural for lice? just kiddin' hee, hee...you are brilliant! Someone should write Mr. Lauer and tell him,he's met his match!
That is too much! Maybe I need a cuppa because I couldn't have begun to figure that one out. I never was very good at riddles.
I used to watch Regis and Kelly a bit back in my nursing babies days, now we just keep the tv off all day. I like it that way.
OK so where are the ballet picks??????????????
