Ballet, Boys, and Bowling

Good Morning, friends!

I am sitting here sipping coffee while keeping my eye on the sky for the trillionth time this Spring because we are in line for some severe weather. Oh well, that's just the way it goes here in Sweet Home Alabama. :)

We've been pretty busy lately with ballet recitals, campouts, baby showers and more, but those are the things that make me happy. Exhausted but happy. Just look at these little girlies:

Julianna had so many of her friends taking ballet where we take this year, that recital was like a great big party! I have no less than 10 pictures just like this one that we snapped with each of her little buddies as we saw them. SOOOO sweet!

But just TRY and get a picture with her brothers where the boys don't all look like they've eaten a tablespoon of horseradish. HAHAHA!! Oh well, I guess they can only take so much. After sitting through an hour of ballet, pictures were flat-out sending them over the edge. ;D.

Last weekend, Mark took my girlie-girl and headed out on a Father/Daughter campout.

Leaving me with the Motley of the Westie Crew. I had no choice but to find something to do that burns energy, and fast, so we used up one of those free bowling coupons that I mentioned in the post below.

We discovered after the first game that bowling without bumpers is not exactly our forte (I bowled too, and I could NOT be any worse... seriously). Here is Ty insisting that I "put that thing down" so that I don't capture the insanity.

Hoping....hoping.... hoping....gutter.

The second round was complete with bumpers...

....which made us feel like champs when our scores were around 100 each.

A great time was had by all despite our lack of skill (hee-hee). We ended up heading out for Krispy Kreme and new tennis shoe shopping afterward. I love my sweet boys and I'm so glad that, by default, we had an unplanned, but awesome, Mama/Son weekend.

This week has already been full of Dr. appointments for regular check-ups and an orthodontist consultation for Ty. Tomorrow, we start into the world of braces. WoW! I had no clue that they were SO expensive!! Talk about precious metal. :D

Well, it looks like the rain is about to start, so I'd better go.... Have a good Wednesday!

Looks like it was an awesome weekend! We get those free bowling passes too. Maybe we will run into you all at the bowling alley sometime.

Have a fantastic day,

Loved seeing your sweet ones! What an adorable bunch they are!

Braces? Oh, girl, my oldest had to wear them, but thank you Lord, the baby girl did not!

Ha, your bowling story reminded me of my first time bowling.

Gayle, I scored a 13 on that game!!!!

I WAS A GROWN WOMAN!!!!

My husband still snickers over that to this day!

So don't feel too bad about your no-bumpers score!

Talk soon!

Looks like you all have been having a lot of fun! I saw that our town is doing that bowling thing...still thinking it over whether I'd feel up to going or not (I'm not such a great bowler either!)

Oh, fun!

And don't worry about the bowling. I stink pretty bad myself -- except with Wii bowling, haha!

What a precious family you have! And I love the the father/daughter photo.

And I pretty much stink at bowling too, even on the Wii!

And, boy howdy am I sick of the rain. Of course, the summer drought cometh. So I am thankful. :-)

Sweet pictures!! We need to have a family tournament soon!! The "D" family against the "W" family. Loser buys KK donuts. I'll save my $$. ;-)

Oh I can't wait until my 2 are old enough to bowl! I LURVE the bowling!

And braces are SO darn expensive... even after they're off. Mine have been off for 4 years but my permanent retainer came partially undone last week and I just paid $65 to get it fixed (I was supposed to pay $125, but the person told me the wrong price on the phone so they honored that). What orthodontist are you using?

OH Braces!!!! I NEVER had them. Chuck only had his for 6 months---somehow ALL kids need them now. Drew only wore his for 15 months, but I still paid the same as those who are in them 5 years. Anna has them now. she has only been in them for 5 months and looks like she will wear them for less than a year. I am pushing my kids to be an orthodontist---just add up all the patients in the waiting room!!!

The father/ daughter campout looked fun. We had the same ballet attire this year. Your ballerina is beautiful. Your boys are handsome too---especially the youngest---he is too cute!

How is the 30 day shred going?? I am on day 8 and can walk halfway normally. Now I just have to get the diet in line---i ADORE oreo's and Chick-fil-a.

What beautiful/handsome children! How did the father/daughter camping go? Hanging out with boys is hilarious, isn't it? I find my 3 pretty easy to please- throw in some hockey, baseball, a bit of wrestling, and to have a really good time, allow them to burp or pass gas without lecturing...

Gayle~how fun. I stink at bowling, too. It's a great time for laughing though. I can't stop laughing at how bad I am. But in Wii bowling~I'm a champ. I guess I should just stick with that.

Glad you had a great time with your boys. I hope your girlie girl and dad had a good time.

We love bowling! None of us are pros but Gabriel does pretty good. The rest of us appreciate the bumpers! Glad you had a fun weekend.
