Solar Powered

So, it's 10:30 in the morning, and awfully quiet in my house. When I went to check on my hard-working student who was supposed to be plowing away at Science (his favorite subject), this is what I found:

Don't think that the light on his knee is the real deal though. That would be artificial illumination in all it's glory. NO SIREE... no real light here, peeps. We haven't seen the likes of that big orangish-yellow ball o' fire in far too long, I'm afraid. Therein lies the problemo. Something about dreariness during the day acts as a mild sedative for some of us (see above... HA!) which isn't exactly helping the old motivation toward productivity.

In conclusion, I'm letting my boy sleep... you know... to avoid hypocrisy.

Hey...

I really liked your post on Just Thinking....it's like on Wall-e....that is a pretty accurate description, if you've ever seen it, of where humans might end up. If you haven't seen it, it's pretty okay.

I see what you mean when you're just thinking.

And you know, kids need sleep, and I'm with ya on that one. Maybe we'll decompress and like, (GASP!) watch a movie or listen to something on CD. And maybe we'll even eat PUMPKIN BROWNIES and drink CHOCOLATE MILK while we lounge!

Sounds good!

Take care.

I wish my child would acknowledge the dreary weather and sleep. She's running a fever and STILL hasn't slept for more than a half hour at a time this morning. Just shoot me.

cute! When I see my kids do that, I get out the thermometer- not kidding. They NEVER do that unless they are sick. Hope the sun is peeking through a little more for you all!

He He He! I wish we would get a visit from M.I.A.sun around here too. As for the sleeper I would definitely hope for a more productive day tomorrow and let him sleep!!!

Came across your blog for the first time while "blog hopping". I had to laugh at your September 28th post! 1st grade Saxon Math maybe??? My little 6 year old is losing it over the minus zeros! She can't figure out if it has a "minus" sign how it could possibly stay the same! :>)
