Funny Girls...

Y'all crack me up! Can I just say that in the hope that everyone that's made me laugh over the last few days will read this? I have had the chance to catch up on some of your blogs and I have been giggling through most of them.
AND, I am lovin this bloglines thing. It's so...I don't know...convenient. Gayle, you were right about how much I would love it here (and no, I am not talking to myself, just click the link if you don't already know her ;)
Anyway, just wanted to say that. I am going to bed now.
OH! I kinda wanted to take a poll of sorts, so play along, pretty please!

What is your all-time favorite hymn or worship song? It's alright if you can't pick just one, I just want to know which ones you really feel gets you to a place of awe for the Lord.

Have a great day everyone! :)

My fav worship song? Pretty much anything Hillsong United. Right now I'm into the newest "All the Above" cd. I find myself soaking in Jesus every time I listen!

Hi Gayle!! Thanks for stopping buy my blog. I have been trying to find a little time to pop over here and say Hi. Your "crew" looks really awesome!

My favourite worship songs change almost weekly, but I do love the tender worship songs. At the moment there is one called "Yes and Amen" I am not sure who wrote it but we are singing it in church lately.

I'm so glad we finally met in person ha ha!!!! I love music and soooo many songs bring me into the presence of the Lord. My all time favorites have to be the old "anchor" hymns like "It is Well", "Blessed Assurance", and "Amazing Grace". My newest favorite is from Brooklyn Tabernacle (I think the title is Thou Oh Lord)...hang on our choir is going to sing it in the fall...YEA!
P.S. I'm hooked on the LPM blog and Baby Bangs by Beth Moore and her daughter Amanda. Thanks!

Well, I'm a 99% hymns girl... I love "Great is thy faithfulness", "Come thou fount", and all the old faithfuls. :-)
But I just love the song, "In christ alone." I get chills everytime, especially with the pennywhistle, LOL

Here I am to Worship
The Heart of Worship
Draw Me Close
...Because they all take me back to significant moments with God when He was speaking clearly to me. He manages to bring them up again at just the right time and I love how He uses them to remind me He loves me!

Gayle
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving your sweet comment. You're always welcome.

I've enjoyed my visit here to your blog and will be back.

Let's see...I guess my favorite would have to be:

LORD I LIFT YOUR NAME ON HIGH

Lord I lift your name on high
Lord I love to sing your praises
I'm so glad you're in my life
I'm so glad you came to save us

You came from heaven to earth
To show the way
From the earth to the cross, My debt to pay
From the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky
Lord I lift your name on high

It always makes me tear up, but I do so love it.

Hugs!
Kat

Hi Gayle,
I enjoyed reading your blog. My four are mostly grown-my two boys are 21 and 19 and moved out and my girls are running to the door at 15 and 12. My favorite worship song is In Christ Alone.

I have a bunch, but I will say for today mine is "Days of Elijah"
and now my little one claps and sings along too! I love it!

I second all the hymns mentioned here. We sang In Christ Alone in church and I was reminded of how much I love that one. I like songs by Chris Rice, especially The Untitled Hymn, and other artists like Chris Tomlin. We like to buy the WOW Worship CD's as it has a mix of everything for everyone in the family.
