It's my party

So, um....yeah. It's my birthday. And due to the fact that we still have sickness in the Westie abode, I am guessing that no big parties with cake and presents are going to be thrown in my honor. Actually, that wouldn't happen anyway because anyone who might be so inclined to do such a thing would probably realize that I would be mortified.
But this is my blog, and I bet you can spare 30 seconds for a beggar to let her know that your here, and that you sympathize with the fact that she will indeed be scrubbing toilets, on this, her special day.
thankyouverymuch.

Poor thing...I wish you a Happy Happy Birthday!!!
Maybe the hubby will come through with a Starbucks and a slice of Edgar's cake for his special b-day girl!

Ya know, if you lived here, we'd be taking you out for breakfast. That's what the girls do, we ditch our families with their toaster waffles and go for a nice long breakfast!
Happy Birthday Gayle!!

You have my sympathy, girl! Happy, happy birthday! And I hope you get to celebrate double-time on another day when you're feeling better and the toilets are clean.

WHAT??!! I wish I'd known! Happy, happy birthday, sweet friend! I wish SO much I could take you out to celebrate!! We'll have to do it some day!

Hopefully even if today is a bummer, you can spread the celebration out. We like birthday weeks and months around here. :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! I hope everyone recovers quickly as a surprise gift for you!!!
BTW, due to the flu, I never posted on your lunch ideas, but here is a favorite at our house:

Chocolate chip and peanut butter sandwich. I usually use wheat bread, spread some pb and sprinkle with mini semi-sweet chocolate chips. Sounds unhealthy however I like to point out that 1 Tbsp of mini semisweet chips has less sugar than 1 Tbsp of jelly. My girls love them!

Happy Birthday!!!

I know it has been a rough week so hang in there!

In a few weeks make Mark pretend it's your birthday when all the germs have vacated the premises! ;-)

I second Kathleen- we would totally have done breakfast this morning if you lived near us. Since we can't do that, just know that you are wished a very happy birthday and know that you DO matter, even if everyone is still recovering from sickness and you may not feel special right now!

Happy, happy, happy birthday!!!!
Sigh! A mommy's life! I hope it's a special one despite the toilet scrubbing!

Hey, did you live in Indianapolis? I was referring to The Master's Study. Or do they have them down there too? I'm thinking you're south. If you happen to be in Indy, then we HAVE to get together! :) Thanks for your input!

Oh, I'm so sorry I didn't read your post and leave a comment before you went to bed!!!!

Happy Birthday, sweet Gayle! What are you, like 30 or so? You look like you could be my kid sister, and I'm NOT 30!

You really must tell us how old you are!!

And wow, I love it when we listen to the Lord and do what He says when He says it, because things happen and miracles happen! Praise God that your son is okay and that no one was killed in that accident! How is the boy with the broken pelvis? Update us when you know.....

Take a break from cleaning those toilets and take yourself out to lunch.....oh, you may have to walk, because I for one couldn't stand the puke smell in my van!!!

tons of hugs to you!

Hey, no fair springing it on us like that. We had no time to plan your bloggy surprise party. Sheesh!

So do tell, how old are you. Cuz if you tell me your really 46 and you still look that good, then you can't come to Vegas.

BTW, Happy Birthday, you young thing!!!

Welcome to the birthdays of motherhood. I celebrated my birthday by having Logan throw up repeatedly, sometimes on me.

I did go out to eat with my dh about a month later to celebrate. Unfortunately, it turned out to be temper-tantrum family night at the dining establishment. :}
