1,2,3 GO!

Donna, over at Way More Homemade just tagged me for a meme that I can totally do in 5 seconds flat.

The directions for this meme are: Find the book closest to you, turn to page 56, then type in the fifth sentence plus a couple more after that.

Okey doke.

"In that moment Jesus turned to him and said, 'Today, shalt thou be with me in Paradise' (Luke 23:43). I expect to see that man in Paradise. Not because he could come down from that cross and be baptized. Not because he could come down from that cross and take communion. Not because he could come down from that cross and give money to charitable work. Not because he could come down from that cross and live a good life. He had been a wicked, godless man, but he was saved by the tender mercy and grace of God."

Oh my stars, people. I swear that wasn't planned! It comes from a little devotional book that used to be my sweet Grandma's that I keep on my dresser (which is right next to me now). It's called Breakfast With Billy Graham. And yeah, I went a little further than a couple of sentences more, but with text like that, I wasn't stopping. I just know God means to use that for someone today.

Anyway, I'm not going to tag anyone, but if you want to do this on your blog, please feel free... just let us know so that we can come and see. Actually, I'm going to ask you to do it rightthissecond and put it in the comments. I thought maybe we'd get a good laugh, but now, I'm not so sure we won't be blessed too.

Ok, you're up...

"It would have been glad if only the ducks would have endured its company- the poor ugly creature!"

Can you guess what story that is from?

That would be The Ugly Duckling.

Am I right or am I right?

Yes, you were right about my quote- thought you would probably get it. And yes, your links worked. Those plates are so pretty!

And he dreamed, and behold, there was a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven. And behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it! from Genesis 28:12 This goes on to say in verse 15: Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I promised you.
This is cool. I really like it and just might have it on my blog...Thanks!

"The teacher is able to form the letters for the child because the teacher is grown-up and knows how to write. That, of course, makes it easier for the teacher; and only because it is easier for him can he help the child....."

Odd quote huh? It's 'Mere Christianity' by CS Lewis.

The book closest to me is "Imagine...Gods Blogs" and it doesn't have page numbers, so yes I did count. LOL There is only 1 sentence on page 56 and it is to be God saying:
I miss hearing the sound of your voice telling Me what you're thinking about.

We also knew that the Bible promises that "those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing" (psalm 34:10). We certainly were seeking out the Lord.

"The loneliest sound I have ever heard is that of a male cardinal calling out for a female who doesn't answer. And He will stand on that limb and sing at the top of his lungs for days.
Emma whispered, " He's crying."
" You sure?" I asked.
"I know," she said matter-of-factly.
"How? How do you know? Doesn't sound like crying to me."
She looked back at the cardinal and said, without feeling the need to prove it, "That's 'cause you're listening with your ears and not your heart."

At the advanced level, you do a 2 - day split routine. You train legs, butt, thighs, chest, triceps and abs on day 1, and train back, shoulders, biceps and forearms on day 2. Then you rest 2 days and start again. You'll rest again in day 7.

This is from The Hard Body Plan. It is a workout book. Not too exciting here.

When both they and their father saw the bundles of money, they were afraid. ----Page 56, 5th sentence, from The Amplified Bible happens to be Genesis 42:35b.

Wow. It would be so cool to take that verse totally out of context and say it is a prophecy for me! Tee Hee. So much money bundled up, my Dad would be afraid. (Actually, he would be thrilled.)
