Weeeeeell, bloggy friends, it's official.
I have been driving around in a sweet little rental car, but I have still missed the ol' girl. Well, not really, but she was a good vehicle while she lasted.
Not to bore you to death, but apparently we would have had to replace the entire (cracked) engine and the radiator with all the hoses and do-hickeys that go with it. Who cares, right?...Anyway, bottom line, it would cost so much money to fix it that it would be foolish when we could use that amount on a decent down-payment (and peace of mind).
So, we are officially off on our search for a new van. It's a good thing too, because I have fallen in love with the new smell of my sweet little rental (which only has about 2500 miles on it). She is in my possession for the next few weeks, so it would have been bittersweet to go back to Van McNasty.
Hopefully this will be the last of my vehicle posts, since I kinda hate the subject. I promise soon to get back to more important things like...food...or bladder control.

BAHAAAA!
I will try not to envy your "new" vehicle.
Sometimes I wish a tree and asteroid would crash on mine while it is sitting in the driveway...obviously without anyone in it. I mean think about it...what a science lesson if a real live asteroid hit my van!
That would be a tree OR an asteroid but if both of them wanted to crash it...I'm o.k. with that.
I LOVE my Honda van...you must go and drive one!!!
I am a mini van mama too, though I am a truck/suburban driving one at heart. I love it when hubby takes the van and I get to bomb around in our big truck. Hope your search goes smoothly!
I can't wait to hear all about your new ride! I'm trying to convince my husband that we need a new one too, but I don't think it's working (because really we don't neeeeed a new one) Oh well, I'll live through yours!
Since my hubby and I have a little hobby of car-dealing - I do hope you'll have atleast one more vehicle post. To tell us what ya'll got. Happy Hunting!
Oh that's awesome how the Lord has provided the down payment at just the right time, Gayle.
Happy Hunting ~

Sorry to hear! I know you weren't looking forward to a car payment! I pray God leads you to a fabulous deal on a car that will last a long time!
"Van McNasty". Atleast you will miss it, right? No really, I like Kia's for the price... and they have the highest safety rating. Good luck on your Van search! ~Karlie
I just observed a moment of silence for your van.
Happy van hunting! We actually got our pontiac montana van at Driver's Way (Used, of course because that's the Dave Ramsey way!) But, they seem to have a good choice there!
