Happy 4th to you as well!
Right now I'm watching my honey put a 7 lb brisket and a few lbs of buffalo short ribs on the smoker while I'm drinking my morning infusion of diet Mtn. Dw.
In a minute I'm going to dig out the ice cream maker and get it going (made the mix last night to meld flavors), then I'll head up and work on my bathroom.
Tonight we will be in the church parking lot eating said brisket and ribs, Peanutty Coleslaw from July's Southern Living, watermelon, and homemade ice cream.
Hope you'll be there to partake with us!!!!!

Laundry and shopping for things we need for camp next week. Later when my ds gets off from work, we'll head to the local theme park to see fireworks. Depends on the weather though, it's looking pretty dark and stormy out right now.

well, I for one, am going to whoop it up at work pretending to ring people up since there won't be anyone there due to people celebrating the holiday.

BUT. Sunday we are getting together with friends. So that counts, too.

Wellll, the little town 15 minutes away is known as the "4th of July" city...maybe of Nebraska. :) But they swell to atleast 5 times their population and do a full day celebration.

We started off at the very rad airshow and then went downtown to browse and find some yummy, albeit expensive lunch. Then our church walked the parade, GIVING AWAY, 8,000 cans of pop. Fun times!

A picnic in the park, followed by lovely conversation until the fireworks started down the road.
There. Now you have it!
